Last November, we teamed up with Paradise Patterns to release Honeygirl Tee, a sewing pattern designed specifically for our Signature Organic Cotton Pointelles. Today, we’re excited to share Honeygirls made by you! This blog is a photo collage of your Honeygirls in endless combinations of color, sleeve length, and neckline, as well as a styling idea board for this versatile T-shirt.
The Scoop Neck
Honeygirl’s scoop neck is style. The rounded curvature of the scoop was thoughtfully perfected: it swoops out just enough to give you a modern, flattering neckline while still concealing the straps of most standard bras. The final band is 1/2″ wide, an intentional narrow band to pair with the feminine styleline.

Stylish Scalloped Neckline for All
Honeygirl’s instructions include a tutorial on how to execute the perfect scalloped neckline using your standard home sewing machine. The pattern’s unique neckband construction, which fully encloses the neckline of the bodice, adds stability as well as a polished, professional look to the final garment. The substantial neckband, made of four layers of fabric, is perfect for trying the picot stitch, which is also covered in our in-depth blog. Note, we recommend scalloping on the scoop neckband, but not the crew: the picot hem will restrict the stretch of your neckband, making it hard for your head to to fit through the crew neck opening.
The Crew Neck
Honeygirl crew neck is comfort. Wear it with jeans for an easy, timeless look, or wear it to sleep with your favorite pajama bottoms. We chose a wider final band of 3/4″ for the crew to emphasize this classic neckline.

A 90s Baby Girl
Katie said it best. One of the unique qualities of a very stretchy knit with low recovery like our cotton pointelle is that you get a super comfortable wear even when the style is “fitted”. This is because the fabric grows to mold to the shape of your body. In contrast, knits with spandex and high recovery will want to bounce back to hold their original shape, which can look more polished but limits comfort. Honeygirl in our cotton pointelle is truly a unique wear and we’re thrilled you all can now experience it!

I love the sound of a Honeygirl dress expansion! I was going to draft it myself but will wait for the pro version 👍. Great drafting as always by Paradise patterns❤️
