Great for beginners. This cotton fabric has a textured sandwashed surface making it very versatile for a variety of garments. It has a medium drape, not as crisp and stiff as poplin but not super drapey like gauze. For warm weather, it would work great for dresses and bottoms like shorts and pants. At 6.5 oz / sq yard, it is opaque and easy to sew. The color is a great light golden brown neutral that’s perfect for all season.
