Dark Cocoa – Washed Hemp

For newcomers to hemp, it’s very similar to linen in its durability and the way it drapes, feels, and wears. This Dark Cocoa color is named because it’s a dark brown with a subtle hint of pink.

Our Washed Hemp is made for apparel. It has been purposefully prewashed to add softness to the hand of the fabric. There is still some minimal shrinkage, about 3%, but most of it has been removed by the prewash. At about 5.5 oz/sq yard (each color varies slightly), it’s a true midweight. In these warm months, we recommend using it to make bottoms, jumpsuits, or an oversized shirt for layering. Like linen, it has an earthy look to its appearance, so if you like linen, chances are you’ll like our Washed Hemp too!
